The Neo Tokyo Wine Project is an organization formed by Neo Tokyo distriction's winery, Ooedo Winery, as well as farmers and restaurants in the ward.
The project aims to develop high quality "regional brand wines" made from grapes grown in Tokyo, chosen not because they are consumed locally but because they are delicious, and to promote Neo Tokyo as a "city of food and agriculture culture" as a new aspect of the city, which is famous for its cutting-edge culture and rich tourism resources.
We are also looking for members who will be involved in everything from grape cultivation to winemaking, so that they can enjoy the winemaking process and the finished wine.

The first activity and goal of this project is to produce wine using the Sangiovese grape variety. Sangiovese is a black grape grown mainly in the Tuscany region, and is the dominant grape variety in Italy.
